By 2014, the internet has taken the main source of information. Billions of people are spendig their time on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, news websites, etc. They share everything on the web, that’s why getting new informations are much easier. In Hungary, magazines and newspapers are not popular, but after my interviews with the west-european people, they said that they are using it with pleasure.
We are on the web day and night. It is almost accessable almost every time, it costs almost nothing, all you need is just an electric device. It is not a wonder, that interntet is the leading media. People are lazy, they want to get every information fast. They don’t buy the newspapers. It is easier, when we got a notification on our smartphone, we know the new things. But from where should we know, that a source is reliable? This is the biggest problem with the internet today. The Facebook is using tick symbols on the official pages.
It is possible, that somebody writes an article as a joke, and other people trust him. According to my opinion, it is not possible to fix this problem, because the many naiv people can’t be changed.
The first newspapers was released in the 19. century, and in those days it was the main information source. It is living approximatly for 200 years, and it didn’t lose its significance. The main advantage of newspaper is that, it is a physical object, and you can hold it in your hands. The articles were written by journalist, that’s why it is reliable. The main disadvantage is that it costs money and time to get it.
